Thanksgiving Break

This year this teacher mommy got the whole week out for Thanksgiving break. The past couple of years we have gotten three days, so having the entire week was AMAZING! We had lots of fun over the holiday break!

 Cutest little Turkey around :)
Cute shirt thanks to my friend at Sweet as Shuga
Just doing a little shopping at the Big Ball Store ( also known as Target)
Play day with our friends at the mall
These little best buddies just hanging out at the mall
Thanksgiving dinner at Great Nanny's house
House Divided equals a confused child. We say "Roll Tide" and " War Eagle" at our house.
Date day at the Iron Bowl! My first time at Bryant Denny stadium...what a crazy place!

During Thanksgiving break we went to the ENT to have little man's ear checked because he has had lots of ear infections here lately. We got the news that we expected which was...TUBES! The next week Caleb was scheduled for tubes. The procedure was so fast. Jason set the timer on his watch when they took Caleb back for surgery and 8 minutes later the doctor was out telling us all of the details from the surgery. A couple hours later you would have never known this wild child had surgery that morning.
Waiting to be checked in for surgery

Just riding around and doing some pretend shopping while waiting to be taken back for surgery. ;(
For a  few minutes after surgery he was a little sluggish and gave mommy a few cuddles. Unfortunately, it did not last very long and he was right back to his normal wild self.

House Happenings Here Lately

Since my last blog a little less than two months ago TONS of progress has been made on the house, and we are looking at a completed house in approximately two weeks. I have tried to take pictures of every little step along the way so that we wouldn't ever forget this experience. Below is the progression that has taken place from the middle of November through the beginning of December.
Towards the middle of November the sheetrock was up
and the tubs were put into place with the help of this little construction worker ;)
At the end of November we had brick
 and more brick
and we also had a completed fireplace!
Towards the beginning of December we have an upper driveway
 and a lower driveway.
We also have a tile shower
and tile floors.
Cabinets, Floors, Lights and More coming VERY SOON!!

Gatlinburg 2014

We have started an annual trip with our sweet friends on Veteran's Day weekend to Gatlinburg. This year we left after Jason got off work on Thursday and arrived in Gatlinburg late Thursday night. Then on Friday morning we woke up and joined our friends, The Pody's, for breakfast while we waited on our friends, The Steven's to arrive.
 Breakfast at Davy Crockett's
A little morning walk around town
After our friends arrived we grabbed lunch and headed to the indoor waterpark.
 Enjoying the lazy river
 Sliding with the grizzly bears
Perfect play area for the little bits :)
Daddy and Caleb doing a little waterpark relaxing
After the waterpark we were all very tired, so we went back to the room for a nap. Our little man was so tired that he stayed asleep even after we put him in the stroller and headed to dinner ( this NEVER happens)!
 Getting a GOOD nap

On Saturday morning we woke up and ate a small breakfast at the hotel and headed off to Cades Cove for the day.
I am assuming we didn't get our way about something in this pic
 Coming up with a plan
The plan was to run in circles. I think they would run in circles for hours!
These two are both standing still...it's a miracle
 Cutie
 So much energy
 LOVE
 Crazy Hair
 Loving exploring God's AMAZING creation
 Mommy's boy
The Whole Gang
Our little helper guided us the rest of the way as we ended our trip at Cades Cove.
After Cades Cove it was off to the Old Mill for a BIG lunch!

 Enjoying the Corn Fritters
We ended the day with a trip to the arcade with some snacks as we walked around town.
 "I look like Scotty!"
Enjoying some popcorn with my little man

The next morning we headed to Log Cabin for breakfast and then attempted a trip to the outlet mall. The outlets were PACKED and our little shopper wasn't loving shopping so our trip was very quick.
Helping daddy find some shoes

After the outlets we headed to the Aquarium for more fun.
 Checking out the fish
 "Look, I see something."
Crawling through the tunnel to visit the penguins
After we finished our visit to the aquarium we grabbed a little lunch, a small photo op at the hotel, and then to the room for a nap.
This sled was too much fun to look up and smile
A rocking chair just his size :)
After naptime we met for dinner and ended our last night walking around town and snacking of course :)
We had a wonderful vacation with our little family and our sweet friends!!

The next morning leaving day. We woke up early and hit the road.
Unfortunately, all vacations must come to and :(
Already looking forward to next year! We can't wait!
